YOGAKSHEMA RESIDENCY, Panvel

In these residential towers we attempted to find a new strategy which transforms the "infill" typology by recognising, reframing and responding to the design problems in a way that challenges the mainstream and changes the urban context. This project is specifically designed for existing and retired staff of India’s leading insurance company. Keeping in mind the design requirements of these professionals we came up with a layout better connects the towers to the surrounding landscape and accommodates changes in what people want from new homes.

In the integrated sustainable designing, all stages of the project are developed with the goal of achieving high levels of efficiency, low cost of construction, maintenance and operation, high manufacturing quality and aesthetic integration with the context and the user desires right from the very star t of the conceptual stages up to the finished product and beyond

We've thought long and hard about how the new design should adapt to what is trending not only in india, but all over the world about what people increasingly expect of their towns and cities. Pandemic have forced people to stay indoors more and more people are working from home and wfh is here to stay for a longer time. People want bigger and more useable outdoor spaces that create extended living areas, allowing them to take their work or recreational time outside. W.r.t site surround we thought that the layout needs to better connect the towers with the surrounding nature We have taken influence from the repetitions, rhythms and softness found within the surrounding nature to find a more welcoming and less imposing addition to the navi Mumbai cityscape.
