Concept – Socialism
Kalyan, a prominent suburban city of Mumbai, serves as a major railway junction, facilitating connectivity to Nashik and Pune. Khadakpada Circle, a well-established commercial and residential district, is characterized by its upscale neighborhoods and diverse population.
As architects, we aim to elevate the concepts of context and site. By addressing the site's unique characteristics, such as the side roads and city views, we introduce a social terrace in a stepped form, cutting through an L-shaped mass and integrating wood and greenery into the building's design. This bold architectural gesture acknowledges our inherent social nature, as these stepped cutouts will serve as multifunctional spaces for various amenities, including a pool garden and spa. We foster a sense of community and encourage spontaneous interactions among residents.
